Partial Packing Help

The crew that boxes your kitchen is the crew that carries it out the door and back in at your new address.

Not every household wants or needs a full pack. Plenty of people are comfortable boxing up their own closets, books, and clothes, but would rather hand off the kitchen — glassware, dishes, small appliances — and the garage, where tools, yard equipment, and odd-shaped items tend to eat a whole afternoon. Partial packing lets you split the work that way: you handle what you’re comfortable with, and our crew takes the rooms that are slow or risky to pack without the right materials.

The advantage of booking partial packing through us rather than mixing a packing service with a separate moving company is continuity. The same crew that wraps your stand mixer and nests your plates into a dish-pack box is the crew loading the truck a few hours later and carrying those same boxes into your new kitchen. There’s no second team unloading boxes they’ve never seen packed, guessing at what’s fragile based on a sticker.

Kitchens are the room we get asked to pack most often — glassware, dishes, and small appliances are exactly the kind of thing that takes forever to wrap well and breaks easily when it’s rushed. Garages and sheds come in second, especially for households with power tools, lawn equipment, or holiday decorations in awkward bins that don’t stack cleanly. We’ll also take on a home office, artwork, or a nursery if you’d rather not handle the disassembly and wrapping yourself.

During your walkthrough, tell Priya which rooms you want handled and which you’ll pack yourself, and she’ll scope the crew time and materials accordingly — you’re not paying for a full-house pack when you only need help with two rooms. We bring dish-pack boxes, bubble wrap, and packing paper for whatever we’re assigned, and the same crew loads everything, including the boxes you packed yourself, onto the truck.

Partial packing works for local moves across Raleigh and Wake County and for long-distance runs alike — if you’re headed to Charlotte or Richmond, tell us during booking and we’ll make sure the crew assigned to pack your kitchen is the same one riding the truck.

Good questions

Questions Raleigh customers actually ask

Which rooms do people usually have you pack?

Kitchens and garages are requested most often, since glassware, small appliances, tools, and yard equipment are slow to pack well and easy to damage if rushed. Home offices and nurseries are common requests too.

Can I pack some rooms myself and have you do just one or two?

Yes, that's exactly how partial packing works. Tell Priya during your walkthrough which rooms you'll handle and which you want our crew to pack, and we'll scope crew time and materials to match.

Will the same crew that packs my kitchen also load the truck?

Yes, one crew handles both the packing of the rooms you've assigned to us and the loading of everything else, so there's no separate packing team that never sees the actual move.

Do you supply the boxes and materials for partial packing?

Yes, we bring dish-pack boxes, bubble wrap, and packing paper sized to whatever rooms you've asked us to pack, included in your estimate.

Is partial packing available for long-distance moves too?

Yes. If you're moving out of state, tell us during booking which rooms you want packed and the same crew handling that packing can also be the crew driving and unloading at your destination.

Why Raleigh trusts this crew

What sets Hands 2 Hands Moving apart

The people who answer your first call are the same people lifting the last box off the truck — same faces, same truck, no handoff in between.

Same Crew, Both Ends

Reggie’s four-man crew rides with the truck door to door — the hands wrapping your dresser are the same hands setting it down at the new place, no relief crew waiting on the other end.

Our Trucks, Our People

Nobody on the truck is a name pulled off a staffing app — every mover is hired and trained by us, and answers to the same foreman Reggie’s crew has worked under for six years.

Licensed Across North Carolina

Active North Carolina household-goods carrier registration, insurance riding on every load, and a certificate of insurance to your Raleigh property manager or HOA the same day you ask for one.

We Route Around The Beltline

The I-440 slowdown at rush hour, the one-way grid downtown, a new-construction street out past Wendell where GPS still guesses — Julian maps around all of it before your crew ever leaves the yard.

Marcus Still Answers The Phone

Call the Poole Rd office and you get Marcus, Priya, or somebody who actually works here — never an overseas script. We hold the arrival window we quote, and rebooking your date never costs you a penalty.

Packed like it’s ours to keep

What your furniture goes through between here and there

Blankets go on before the hallway does

Camille’s crew wraps and shrink-films every dresser and cushion right where it’s sitting — nothing rides down your hallway or stairwell bare.

Door frames and floors get padded first

Runners go down and corner guards go up on every door jamb before the first box moves, so neither the exit nor the entrance picks up a scuff.

Furniture comes apart and goes back together

Bed frames, dining tables, and cribs get broken down for the ride and rebuilt at the new address — you’re not the one hunting for a hex key.

Glass and electronics ride in their own box

Mirrors, artwork, and anything with a screen get their own carton and corner protection — nothing fragile gets wedged behind the couch cushions to save space.

Straps and dollies carry the weight, not your back

Heavy pieces move on ramps and dollies with real tie-down straps, so nothing gets dragged across a floor or muscled up a stairwell by hand.

The crew that wraps the first box unloads the last one

There’s no relief shift and no new face after lunch — the same crew that started your move is the one setting the last box down.

How it works

Three steps. One crew the whole way.

01

Tell us where and when

Call or fill out the form with your two ZIP codes and a rough room count — that’s enough for Priya to put a number in writing the same day, no walkthrough required and no charge just for asking.

02

Your crew gets assigned

Once you lock in a date, Reggie’s crew and their truck go on the schedule under your name — the same four guys, start to finish. Need a certificate sent to a property manager first? We handle it before move day.

03

The same faces load and unload

Your crew shows up inside the window we gave you, wraps and pads what needs it, and rides the truck to the destination themselves — nobody new shows up on the other end.

Ready to put your move on the schedule?

The crew that answers your call is the crew standing in your driveway on move day — no substitutions, no subcontractor picking up the second half. Tell us where you’re headed and we’ll have a number back before the day’s out.
