Apex earned its “Peak of Good Living” nickname from a rail depot, not a real estate brochure, and downtown still shows it — the brick storefronts on Salem Street, the old Union Depot, the shade trees around Apex Nature Park. Moving out of one of those older homes near downtown takes a different kind of care than moving into a brand-new build going up off US-64 West, and we treat them differently without ever splitting up the crew doing the work.

Two Different Apex Moves

A lot of what we load out of central Apex is furniture that’s been in place for a decade or two — solid pieces, tight staircases, driveways too narrow for a full-size truck to pull all the way in. A lot of what we’re delivering is going into Veridea, Haddon Hall, or one of the other new subdivisions filling in the fields west of town, where the challenge is usually a delivery-truck schedule to coordinate around rather than a tricky doorway.

We run both kinds of jobs the same way: the crew that wraps your furniture at the old place is the crew carrying it into the new one, whether that’s eight blocks from Salem Street or a fifteen-minute drive out past Beaver Creek Commons.

We also handle a fair number of small commercial moves for the shops and offices near downtown, working around a business’s open hours so a Salem Street storefront doesn’t lose a weekend to moving boxes.

  • Local moves across Apex and into neighboring Cary or Holly Springs
  • Full and partial packing for older homes with more fragile, long-owned furniture
  • Labor-only loading and unloading if you’ve rented your own truck for a shorter move
  • Small commercial moves for businesses near downtown Apex

Growth around Apex hasn’t slowed down, and neither has our crew list — but the two or three people you meet at your estimate are the two or three showing up on move day, every time.

Good questions

Questions Raleigh customers actually ask

We're moving out of a historic home near downtown Apex with a narrow driveway. Can your trucks get in?

We've worked plenty of the older streets around Salem Street and Center Street. If a full-size truck can't get close, we'll shuttle with a smaller vehicle so nothing gets carried an extra block by hand.

Our new-construction home in Veridea isn't finished yet and the closing date keeps moving. How do you handle that?

We keep a hold on your crew and adjust the date as your builder confirms it — just give us as much notice as you can once the closing is firm.

Do you move people between Apex and Cary? A lot of our friends are out that way.

All the time — the two towns border each other and we run that route regularly, same crew the whole way.

Why Raleigh trusts this crew

What sets Hands 2 Hands Moving apart

The people who answer your first call are the same people lifting the last box off the truck — same faces, same truck, no handoff in between.

Same Crew, Both Ends

Reggie’s four-man crew rides with the truck door to door — the hands wrapping your dresser are the same hands setting it down at the new place, no relief crew waiting on the other end.

Our Trucks, Our People

Nobody on the truck is a name pulled off a staffing app — every mover is hired and trained by us, and answers to the same foreman Reggie’s crew has worked under for six years.

Licensed Across North Carolina

Active North Carolina household-goods carrier registration, insurance riding on every load, and a certificate of insurance to your Raleigh property manager or HOA the same day you ask for one.

We Route Around The Beltline

The I-440 slowdown at rush hour, the one-way grid downtown, a new-construction street out past Wendell where GPS still guesses — Julian maps around all of it before your crew ever leaves the yard.

Marcus Still Answers The Phone

Call the Poole Rd office and you get Marcus, Priya, or somebody who actually works here — never an overseas script. We hold the arrival window we quote, and rebooking your date never costs you a penalty.

What your furniture goes through between here and there

Blankets go on before the hallway does

Camille’s crew wraps and shrink-films every dresser and cushion right where it’s sitting — nothing rides down your hallway or stairwell bare.

Door frames and floors get padded first

Runners go down and corner guards go up on every door jamb before the first box moves, so neither the exit nor the entrance picks up a scuff.

Furniture comes apart and goes back together

Bed frames, dining tables, and cribs get broken down for the ride and rebuilt at the new address — you’re not the one hunting for a hex key.

Glass and electronics ride in their own box

Mirrors, artwork, and anything with a screen get their own carton and corner protection — nothing fragile gets wedged behind the couch cushions to save space.

Straps and dollies carry the weight, not your back

Heavy pieces move on ramps and dollies with real tie-down straps, so nothing gets dragged across a floor or muscled up a stairwell by hand.

The crew that wraps the first box unloads the last one

There’s no relief shift and no new face after lunch — the same crew that started your move is the one setting the last box down.

How it works

Three steps. One crew the whole way.

01

Tell us where and when

Call or fill out the form with your two ZIP codes and a rough room count — that’s enough for Priya to put a number in writing the same day, no walkthrough required and no charge just for asking.

02

Your crew gets assigned

Once you lock in a date, Reggie’s crew and their truck go on the schedule under your name — the same four guys, start to finish. Need a certificate sent to a property manager first? We handle it before move day.

03

The same faces load and unload

Your crew shows up inside the window we gave you, wraps and pads what needs it, and rides the truck to the destination themselves — nobody new shows up on the other end.

Ready to put your move on the schedule?

The crew that answers your call is the crew standing in your driveway on move day — no substitutions, no subcontractor picking up the second half. Tell us where you’re headed and we’ll have a number back before the day’s out.
