Loading & Unloading Help

Sometimes the truck or trailer is already handled and what’s actually needed is just the labor — a container sitting in a driveway off Falls of Neuse Road that needs to be loaded properly before it ships, or a rental truck that’s just arrived at a new house near Apex and needs strong, careful hands to get it unloaded before the driver has to return it. We book loading and unloading as standalone jobs constantly, separate from a full moving package.

This overlaps with our labor-only service, but it’s worth calling out on its own because people often need just one side of the job — the load or the unload, not both. A family shipping belongings ahead of a move might need a crew to load a PODS container in Raleigh weeks before they personally relocate. Someone flying in to close on a house in Wake Forest might need a crew waiting when their moving truck rolls in, since they don’t have the manpower or the time in town to unload it themselves.

Whichever side of the job you need, our crew treats it the same way they’d treat a full move: furniture pads and shrink wrap for anything that needs protecting, careful stacking that accounts for how a truck will handle on the road if it’s not us driving it, and attention to which boxes are marked fragile. On unload jobs specifically, we take the same care carrying things into the house that we would if we’d loaded them ourselves — checking for damage as items come off, and flagging anything that looks off before it’s set down and forgotten.

If you need both ends covered but with different crews on different days — loading in Raleigh, then unloading once the truck arrives in Richmond or Charlotte a few days later — tell us during booking and we’ll try to route the same crew to both ends when timing allows, or clearly hand off notes about the load if a different crew has to take the unload.

Loading and unloading help is priced hourly based on crew size and the volume of the job, and Priya can usually quote it accurately from a quick phone description if an in-person walkthrough isn’t practical.
